We think the fishing village of Cortez, Manatee County, near Bradenton Beach is the most charming town on the Gulf Coast of Florida south of Cedar Key. Many of his paintings suggest open-ended relationships between the figures he depicts—often parents, children, siblings, partners, and other family members—and their interactions with moody environments.
